Day Camp

 

Children who are 5 to 10 years old enjoy an action-packed day at YMCA Camp Chingachgook. The day program follows the basic structure of the resident camp with morning activities, lunch, afternoon activities, snack, and free swim in Beginners' Bay, which offers shallow swimming from a sandy beach. Activities may include hiking, arts and crafts,sports, archery, climbing tower, bouldering wall, canoeing, and more. Campers learn to cooperate and work together as a team, sharing responsibilities and fun. Chingachgook provides lunch and a snack, plus each week is themed to add creativity and fun.

Each Thursday Day Campers have the option of staying for an overnight campout.
This is an additional $20 fee that includes dinner and breakfast.

 

Staff

Chingachgook staff are selected from the best of the best. They are trained in first aid and lifeguarding and undergo extensive training at Chingachgook in order to meet the YMCA's and American Camp Association's high standards in providing campers a safe, educational, inspiring, and fun experience.
