Josephine2Josephine Reeder, Wellness Director 

“Anybody can improve their life through exercise. It’s never too late to increase your health or athleticism.” 

Background

Josephine has worked for the YMCA since 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. Josephine participated in swimming, cross country, track and field, rowing and football. She is a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine.

Personal Training GreenbushHetti Demers

Background

Hetti moved from the Netherlands 7 years ago and became a Y member. She studied Cognitive Psychology and speaks 4 languages. She enjoys cycling, running, and weight lifting.

Background

Abby has worked for the YMCA since 2014. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education from South West Missouri State University. Abby enjoys helping clients maintain balance as they work toward their personal fitness goals.

ColinColin Demick, Massage Therapist 

“To be healthy we must strive to balance our physical, emotional, spiritual and occupational wellness.”

Background

Colin received his certification from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy and his New York Stat massage therapy license. Colin;s experience and training includes 1,000+ hours of lecture on massage techniques as well as mycology, anatomy and physiology, neurology and pathology.

East Greenbush Personal TrainerNathalie McNair

Background

Growing from a love of sports, Nathalie started by teaching swim lessons and coaching swim teams. This continued into personal training. Nathalie values hard work, dedication, and hopes to impart that to her clients.

Background

Patrick joined the Greenbush YMCA wellness staff in 2015. Pat is a former basketball player for SUNY Cobleskill and is the proud father to daughter Kyleigh. He is pursing a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science at SUNY Cortland.

Background

Erica is a former collegiate athlete who played basketball for HVCC and Sage. From playing sports her whole life, Erica has developed a love not only for exercise, but for nutrition and overall healthy living.

Chris has worked for the YMCA since 2011. He has been a personal trainer since 2006 working with younger and older adults.

Personal Training East GreenbushCathy Van Orden

“If what you’re doing isn’t getting you the results you’re looking for, then it’s time for a change.”

Background

Cathy joined the Greenbush YMCA wellness staff in 2015 after working for the Youth and Teen department and being an active member since 2010. Cathy enjoys running preschool and youth sports programs, cooking classes and educational programs, while also being a mother to her two sons, Andrew and Joshua.

Marcia is a recent retiree from libraries and office work. After working with a trainer she became interested in accompanying others in their own health-seeking journeys.
