Josephine2Josephine Reeder, Wellness Director 

“Anybody can improve their life through exercise. It’s never too late to increase your health or athleticism.” 

Background

Josephine has worked for the YMCA since 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. Josephine participated in swimming, cross country, track and field, rowing and football. She is a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine.

East Greenbush Personal TrainerNathalie McNair

Background

Growing from a love of sports, Nathalie started by teaching swim lessons and coaching swim teams. This continued into personal training. Nathalie values hard work, dedication, and hopes to impart that to her clients.

Background

Patrick joined the Greenbush YMCA wellness staff in 2015. Pat is a former basketball player for SUNY Cobleskill and is the proud father to daughter Kyleigh. He is pursing a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science at SUNY Cortland.

Background

Chris has worked for the YMCA since 2011. He has been a personal trainer since 2006 working with younger and older adults.

Cathy Van Orden

“If what you’re doing isn’t getting you the results you’re looking for, then it’s time for a change.”

Background

Cathy joined the Greenbush YMCA wellness staff in 2015 after working for the Youth and Teen department and being an active member since 2010. Cathy enjoys running preschool and youth sports programs, cooking classes and educational programs, while also being a mother to her two sons, Andrew and Joshua.

Nick Cioffi

Background

Nick Cioffi joined the Greenbush YMCA wellness team in 2016. Nick recently graduated from Towson University where he played Division I baseball for four years. Throughout his playing career Nick found great benefit in using strength training to increase his playing ability. This drove him to pursue working as a personal trainer.

Brandon Fraser

Background

Brandon is a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Science Association  (ISSA). He specializes in training for strength, weight loss, and functional fitness.  Brandon really enjoys working with individuals that are new to the gym and want a fresh start in fitness.

Personal Training East GreenbushMarcia Middleton

Background

Marcia is a recent retiree from libraries and office work. After working with a trainer she became interested in accompanying others in their own health-seeking journeys.

Sarah Katz

Background

Sarah’s philosophy is that wellness is the beginning of everything people want out of life: health, happiness, strength, confidence and self-respect.  Through years working in a clinical weight-loss setting, she has gained valuable knowledge in wellness coaching as it relates to obesity treatment and exercise programming.

Trish Sawyer

“The first step of your fitness journey is the one through the Wellness Center door.”

 

Background

Trish joined the Wellness Staff after recently losing over 100lbs through healthy eating and regular exercise. This change in lifestyle led her to pursue a Personal Trainer certification.
