Losing weight has positive effects on your energy levels, your health, and even your self confidence. But it’s hard!!! To make a lasting change, it takes not just the desire, but behavior changes that are sustainable. The Y’s Way to Weight Loss combines strategies to incorporate good nutrition and physical activity into your lifestyle, while addressing ongoing motivation and the obstacles that can make losing weight a challenge. A weekly, group-based, one-hour meeting led by a Registered Dietitian provides a supportive network to help when the going gets tough and to celebrate successes along the way. Sessions include weight loss basics, meal prepping and menu planning for busy people, a trip to the grocery store, and what to do when you plateau. The first week is 90 minutes, all other sessions are 60 minutes.
