Cops and Kids Fight Crime Together
The Albany Police Athletic League (PAL), Inc. is a juvenile crime prevention program that brings kids and cops together in non-law enforcement settings. PAL accomplishes its goals by providing numerous educational, recreational, and athletic programs to more than 4,000 Albany youth each year.
PAL seeks to provide a safe haven for the youth of Albany in their after school hours. PAL kids are offered mentoring and understanding through the help of Albany Police Officers, PAL Staff, Community Volunteers, and Interns. They are dedicated to providing kids, especially the most under-served, with the support and skills they will need to journey towards a brighter future.
PAL has been sending children from the Albany area to Chingachgook for many years, both to summer camp and for special events during February break.
Each summer, these campers get to experience the joys of Camp, hiking with friends, swimming at the lake, trying new skill classes and making new friends and lasting memories in a safe, supportive environment. The donations and support received through our Annual Campaign assures that campers from the Albany PAL program will have the chance to attend a week of overnight Camp in 2017!
Help us help these children fight crime by donating to our Annual Campaign today.
