As you may have heard in the news, due to the government shutdown and code blue cold conditions, our local food pantries are struggling to keep their shelves filled and are in urgent need of supplies. Our partners at CAP COM Federal Credit Union are asking for our help.
Through Thursday, February 28th, our YMCA locations will serve as drop-off locations, in addition to all CAP COM branch locations. We will be collecting non-perishable food items and personal care items.
Items in high demand:
- Canned Tuna
- Canned Chicken
- Kidney Beans
- Black Beans
- Peanut Butter
- Pancake Mix
Food and funds will be distributed to benefit our Foundation partners at the following locations:
- Hope 7 Community Center
- Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless
- Joseph’s House
- The Food Pantries for The Capital District
- Unity House
