Thor joined the YMCA team in November of 2019 at the Bethlehem branch as the Wellness director. He has been trainer for the last 6 years, working as both the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at a private gym and an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Union College. He has also been a person trainer at SUNY Cortland and has been an intern Strength and Conditioning Coach at Princeton University. Thor holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Fitness Development from SUNY Cortland and is currently in pursuit of his Masters degree. He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through NSCA.

Stephanie joined the Southern Saratoga YMCA team in September 2016, but has worked for the YMCA for over 12-years in 3 different states. Stephanie holds an Associate of Arts degree in General Education with a focus in business and psychology from St. John’s River State College, Florida. She is a certified Personal Trainer and also teaches group exercise classes.

Marissa joined the YMCA team in 2013 after completing a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She worked as a personal trainer and lifeguard while completing her second bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Russell Sage College. She also earned the credential of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with NSCA to design safe and effective training programs for athletes. During that time, she resumed taking karate classes and achieved brown belt. She also started running 5ks. Marissa is extremely passionate about combining fitness with nutrition to help you achieve the best outcome. She recently obtained her new certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

Jazmin started working for the YMCA in 2017, starting in Childcare. She holds a B.S in Human Physiological Sciences from Skidmore. She has been an athlete most of her life playing softball and later on, Track and Field. It was during Track that she found her true passion for fitness in powerlifting and working out.

Michelle joined the Southern Saratoga YMCA team in October 2019 serving as a Membership Services Representative. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from SUNY Albany. Michelle has always been active as an avid runner with the CDYMCA Pacers Running group.
Currently, Michelle’s passion and focus is on bodybuilding and strength training. She is a member of the Organization of Competitive Bodies and has competed in several events where judging is based on a natural physique, confidence, and stage presence.
