Swim Lessons - Youth (Age 6-12)

This stage is designed to increase participant comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance. It focuses on exploring the water and developing personal skills with the instructor, develop basic skills to propel and glide through the water with assistance, learn basic water safety and accepting some responsibility for safe practices. With assistance from the instructor/flotation devices, participants are working on submerging, front and back glide, front and back float, water exit, jump-push-turn-grab, rolling, and swim-float-swim.
