Swim Lessons - Teen (Age 11-18)


The Teen Aquatic Conditioning Class can be tailored to meet an individuals needs, such as stroke improvement, fitness goals, lifeguard swim training, and building stamina. Swimmers need to be at Stage 4 – Stroke Introduction or higher to register for this class. We focus on developing stamina while refining stroke technique for front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and side stroke. Aquatic Conditioning reinforces safety through practicing treading water, and resting strokes (side stroke, and elementary backstroke). Butterfly and flip turns can be introduced and practiced with more advanced students. Endurance swims, sprinting, and timed treading water activities are all components of the Aquatic Conditioning class.
