African Heritage Parade
Launched in 2019 and held over Juneteenth Weekend, the CDYMCA African Heritage Parade celebrates the African Diaspora in the United States with a parade in downtown Albany. This parade leads into Albany's annual Juneteenth Celebration and Festival.
Walk with the YMCA
The African Heritage Parade brings the African diaspora and the community together to celebrate and share cultures, nationalities, contributions, and education locally and globally. We will line up at Albany's Washington Park at 9:30 AM on Saturday June 15, 2024. At 11 AM the Parade will proceed to the Juneteenth Celebration Block Party at Alice Moore Cultural Center at 135 Madison Avenue. Everyone is welcome.
